Evensong is defined as "a service of evening prayers, psalms, and canticles, conducted according to a set form, especially that of the Anglican Church." It seems like an appropriate title for a group of photos that celebrate the color transformations that happen around us during twilight.
By isolating a detail from its surroundings, I’m trying to create a pictorial meditation on that detail. This is especially true if I’m isolating a detail from a particularly noisy and chaotic environment. The contrast between the subject and its environment is often what draws me in and makes me want to make a photograph.
